Endodontics Academy
Endodontics Postgraduate Education Program (2027 Academic Year, 6th Term)
This is a one-year structured program that replicates the essence of specialist training in endodontics at New York University (NYU) School of Dentistry in Tokyo, taught in Japanese. Dr. Katsushi Okazaki, a current Clinical Associate Professor at NYU and a board-certified endodontist in the United States, provides systematic instruction from basic biology to cutting-edge digital technology, aligned with world-standard learning objectives. Rather than rote memorization, ADEPT aims to cultivate clinicians who can independently construct evidence-based decision-making processes from diagnosis to prognosis.
Upon completion, you will be able to do the following:
- Diagnose the condition of the dental pulp and root apex comprehensively from medical history, examination, and imaging findings. - Evaluate the difficulty of each case and explain the decision to preserve the tooth, refer to a specialist, or extract the tooth, along with the rationale. - Perform pulp chamber opening, root canal irrigation, enlargement, shaping, and root canal filling with high predictability under a microscope. - Determine the indications for surgical endodontics, traumatic teeth, root resorption, and regenerative endodontics. - Critically analyze literature and utilize AI to connect the latest evidence to clinical practice. - Integrate CBCT, AR, and 3D printing to improve treatment predictability.
And most importantly, you will be able to explain "why" you make your own clinical decisions.

Four features of the program
1. Small group/individual instruction (capacity 10 people)
Okazaki is directly involved in all cases and all practical training sessions. He provides guidance tailored to each individual's thinking.
2. Evidence-Based Practice: Developing the habit of reading both classic and recent literature and basing all clinical decisions on evidence.
It nourishes.
3. Targets for achieving specialist certification: A world-class curriculum designed to align with U.S. specialist education standards .
4. Bridging to Digital Clinical Practice: Microscopes, CBCT, AR/XR, 3D printing, and digital twins.
We will use it not merely as a tool, but as the "foundation for decision-making."
* While ADEPT is not a certified specialist program, its learning objectives, evaluation criteria, and curriculum are designed to align with these international standards.
